for everyone

Remember the pretty  Polish Doily?  Gosh!    I have never had so much trouble making a doily!  Really.  Each Round I have started at least 2 times and I have made only 4 rounds out of 6.  I think I'll just going to stop here and leave it as it is.  Right now it measures 4 1/2" and is perfect to mount on a CD or a brass ring and use it as suncatcher.

There are 2 rounds more but  I'm thinking if I'll do it or not.  Now I noticed that the pattern says using cordonet #10 but I don't have any and used cotton perle #8.  Usually I don't care too much about the material specified on a pattern because usually I don't find the same thread, but may be this pattern really needs a cordonet to make it work.  For now, this little doily is going to the box!

Its cute like that. Don't laugh at this idea please I have weird ideas lol. You know when you searve things like tea and snacks in Egypt its done with serving trays. You could put this in the middle of the serving tray and then put the cup(usally tea lol) and little plate of what every your are serving(usally fruit or cheap chocolate lol). This would only be good when you are serving just one though lol. Just a thought of what you could do with it instead of putting it back in the box

Yes, I know what you mean. A small tray doily. That's why I'm thinking in mounting it on a CD. It will look like a coaster. :-) Your ideas are not weird, they are very artistic. But for now I'll "punish" the bad doily and will go to the box. lol

The doily is pretty just the way it is, minus the last two rows not done yet. I myself think I would like the perle #8 better than the cordonet #10. Why would it need a Cordonet, maybe for body? Going to the box, heh?
