for everyone

Last night was a sleepless one so I tried to tat some.  This semester on the online class the theme will be the Block Technique.  So I played a little with my digital tatting and came with several designs.  I really like this one.  The only thing it's a little annoying is that each "block" has to be tatted independently.    But I found it fun to work with.  I wrote the instructions on my notebook.  When me head clears a little I'll write it and share it with everyone.  I'm thinking in adding some beads but my hands were to shaking and I couldn't place the beads on the threads.

I think I'll call this one "The Princess' Peas".  I don't know, but I see the analogy with the fairytale of "The Princess and the Pea".  It's one of my favorite stories!  May be with the beads (as peas and diamonds for the crown) will be easier to see the analogy.

I just love this one!!! I don't know what it's called where you put chains on top of chains, but that is something I haven't done yet. I'm trying to finish up my third motif, but my younger sister had surgery yesterday and I've been going up to the hospital to see her. The roads today are getting really slippery and we have a snow advisory starting now and people are already slipping and sliding.

Is this pattern of yours going to be available or will be saved for your book? I just love the snowman in the corner and my site is changed now to match yours! Thanks for sharing. (I sent you that notice already, but I'm so happy I had to repeat it!).

OK, I just re-read your message with the motif and now it sounds more difficult. When I look at the white rings on the outside of the motif, they look different. Why don't I see a complete ring of white there? I am wondering what online classes you are talking about? Is it open to all? End of question......for now!

Hi Barbara! The pattern will be for everyone but will take a couple of days to write. The classes are by Georgia Seitz and they are free. They are offered via a chatroom. Go to her site for more info: http://www.georgiaseitz.com Mondays at 5 pm and 8:30 pm are the sessions in English.

Hope your sister gets well soon and you be extra careful driving!

I really like the look of this one. I do not know how to do this technique, so holler when you are going to teach how, and I plan on jumping in! Thanks in advance! :-D

It's a very interesting design. (and pretty) I don't think I've seen anything like it before.
