Blog EntryTat It and See Day 9 & 10Jan 26, '08 12:06 PM
for everyone

This was Day 9.  I made a little mistake and instead of making a lock chain I made a regular chain.  Still looks good.  And now the last part!

Here it is!!!  It's a little Hippo.  Though I think  mine looks more like a mix of a polar bear and skinny hippo.  lol

This was a fun thing to do.  I hope that someone can continue with projects like this one.  May be I can come up with something.

Thanks to Jane for such wonderful experience!

Blog EntryTat It and See Day 8Jan 22, '08 2:47 AM
for everyone

Just when you think that you know what are you tatting Jane comes with another twist.  lol  Now I'm without an idea of what kind of animal could be.

The last bit of today's is 3 lines of short chains, like block tatting.  Could it be one of those miniature ponies and the chains are the mane?  Wally wonders!

Stay tune for next chapter!

Blog EntryTat It and See Day 7Jan 20, '08 10:09 AM

Today Jane posted bit #7.  See, I was kinda right.  It looks like an animal.  But which one?  An elephant?  A piggie?  A cow?  Tail is rather short, so it can't be a cat or a dog.

This is so fun!!!

Blog EntryTat It and See Day 5-6Jan 19, '08 5:57 PM
for everyone
Here we are again running a little late.    Jane has posted the next 2 bits of the mystery motif.

Here is bit 5.  I had to undo the last ring I made on bit 4 because I made extra stitches.  But now it looks like is suppose to look like.

This is todays bit.  It's starting to look like something.  But still not sure what it is.  May be a table with flowers on it.  Or an animal?  What you think?

Blog EntryAnother SnowflakeOct 30, '07 10:53 AM

This is another of Jane's designs.  It's Snowflake 2004.  It's made in one round without cutting.  I made 2 SSSR (Single Shuttle Split Ring) to climb out and "hide" the 2nd color.  So the split ring is one color.
There are some mistakes also in this one.  I misplaced some beads.  I don't know what happen yesterday.  My tatting was full of mistakes, my concentration was poor; even at the online class last night I couldn't understand a very easy pattern!!!

But I think today is better and I'm making the homework.  I'll post it when I finish.  Last night class was about 3 flowers patterns, all of them 3-D.

Blog EntrySnowflake 2007Oct 29, '07 8:59 AM
for everyone

I just finished this snowflake.  The pattern is from Jane Eborall and you can find it here.  It uses Split Rings and Lock Chains (Ric Rac chains).  I used white and purple threads (I think both are El Beida) and purple seed beads.  This is really a lovely snowflake!  Took me around 3 hours to finish, having some mistakes to correct.  It has a little "oops" but it's not too noticeable and didn't affect the design.

Thanks Jane for such a pretty design!

Blog EntryGothic TatbeadOct 2, '07 6:10 PM
for everyone

I have been trying to make a Tatbead for a long time, but I didn't have the beads or buttons to make them. So now here it is. Let me introduce you Gatty the Goth Tatbead!

The pattern is from Jane Eborall and you can find it here. I used some of the new perle #12 I got in Cairo last week. I miss placed the legs a little, but I think she looks like she's dancing.

Well, the only "interesting" movie on TV now is "Return to Oz" so I think I'll tat some more.

Isn't she cute!?

It's a flat fairy.  May be this one couldn't fly and was rollover by a truck.  LOL  It's a pattern by none other than Jane Eborall.  The pattern is already in her web site and you can find also a ballerina in 2 poses.  I think I'll be making the ballerina probably tomorrow.  I'm so tire tonight that I think I'll go early to bed.

Today I went with mom, Letty and her husband to Marshalls and I'm busted.  I only bought some Chocolate Macadamia Biscotti.  I haven't taste them yet but may be one will be my breakfast tomorrow morning.

After my Bio-Blog I organized a few pictures of my family so I could post their Bio-Blog.  And I think the next one will be my sister Letty.  Mom will be looking for some pics of when she was young (way back!).  I was surprise that cameras existed that time.  LOL  Just kidding!

Well, it's 11 pm and I'm alreayd falling asleep over the keyboard.  I better go before I sdfjkhl  sdfhliur uo f hf d io; ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..............  Image

The Fairy Saga continues

At last I can present you the latest adquisition on the Fairy Saga.  LOL

Your fairy is called Columbino Goblinfly

He is a bringer of riches and wealth.

He lives in mushroom fields and quiet meadows.

He is only seen at midday under a quiet, cloudless sky.

He wears lilac and purple like columbine flowers. He has gentle green wings like a butterfly.

This one is for a male friend so I tried to make it not too femenine.  He'll fly next week tward my friend.  Let see if he likes it as much as I liked making it.

Here are the tender group's photos.

This is mom's fairy.

Her name is called Bramble Saturnfilter

She is a trouble maker.

She lives in leafy dells and bluebell glades.

She is only seen on midsummer's eve.

She wears bluebell-blue dresses. She has delicate pale pink wings like a cicada.

Mom is kinda of a troublemaker.  She loves to make jokes and has a good humor.  Mom took her already to work and several persons have asked also for fairies.  See?!  Now I'm in trouble!  LOL

Blog EntryThe fairy is here!Jan 23, '06 5:45 PM
for everyone

Well, 3 more days to my BD.  At least I'm feeling better.  No more fever, tho I'm still coughing.  I think it's because have been raining (POURI

NG) this last week and also very windy, so my asthma is again fighting with me.  The fever...  Was just one of those mysterious fevers from the Lupus.  Ugh!  Image

Well, last night I finished the fairy and took some pics but I couldn't upload them until now.  This pc is having a tantrum or PMS...  I don't know what it is but is difficult for me to upload and do some of the online work I do in different sites.

Anyway, here is Miss Petal Goblinwand.  Her dress is pale yellow and pink, wings are green (703) and metallic green, and she has 3 tones of yellow in the hair.  Also the bodice has pink beads, the wings has green beads, and the skirt and hat has white beads.  I worked like 18 hours in total.  Tho she looks complicate it's not so bad to work.  The most difficult was making the tubular legs and arms.  I think I'll wait awhile to make mom's.  I get tire of a pattern really quick if I have to make several in a row.  Image  So meanwhile I'll be tatting something else.
