Updated Rose Motif

Well, it's really late (or early 6:20 am) and I'm not sleepy. So I just added a small tassel to the rose motif and I love it. I made a RicRac chain and finished with a clover with long picots that later I cut. It looks so pretty and elegant. Sorry for the photo but that's the best I can do at this time of the morning!

Rose Motif

Yesterday I got the last edition of Sharon Brigg's Newsletter and I love each pattern on it. There's is a cute bookmark made with this motif. I was going to use my #80 thread to make it dainty but I preferred to empty a couple of shuttles that had these lovely colors that went so well with the motif. Both threads are cotton perle #8 and it made the motifs like 2 1/2" at the clovers points.

Sharon Brigg's Newsletter is published 4 times a year and is packed with very lovely patterns. Go ahead and check the projects for this month here.

Not a good idea

It's not a good idea to tat with black thread while your husband is studying Spanish, your TV is playing music in English and outside the mosque is reciting the Quran in Arabic. God! What a mix of languages!

This is 2/3 of a motif from Sharon Briggs. It's full of mistakes and the last round I made a major mistake so I cut it. I have to start again. Meanwhile this is going to the "Tatting Box".

HOTT!!! - My entry for the HOTT category at the Palmetto's Tat-Day

This is my entry for the special category at the Palmetto's Tat-Day. The theme this year is HOTT (Hats Off To Tatting), so there will be a category for hats.

The pattern is from Sharon Brigg's Newsletter Volume 1.3. I used Melanie #10 for the hat and the flowers are made in DMC Petra #8. The flowers pattern are also from Sharon's Newsletter (I can't remember right now which edition).

Later I'll post more of the works I'll be exhibiting.

Tatted Heart Photo Frame

This is a photo frame that I tatted while in Cayey. It's a pattern from Sharon Brigg's Newsletter. I think is Year 2 Vol. 3

The pattern works quickly. I still nedd to block it so it looks more like a heart and also the inner oval to look equal.

I'm planning to start in my 1st scrapbook and this is going to be the 1st page. I don't have a concrete theme for the scrapbook but I think will be about my trips in PR, USA and the rest of the world.
